Community Justice Program and the Murri Court

From 2018 – 2019 our numbers accessing this program have increased by 42%.

The number of Elders and respected persons sitting on the Murri Court has increased by 85% and in 2019 this program has a 77% successful completion rate with only 3% of participants reoffending.

This means that over ¾ of the people who committed to this program have remained out of correctional facilities.

 

West Inala Rugby League Football Club

When we took over the football club they had only 2 teams. Last season we had 14 teams including girls, womens and a Masters team. We have also recently completed building a new female friendly facility ensuring that everyone is welcome.

 

Gift of Gallang

This program started with a pilot delivery at Inala State School and on the success of this delivery we have now increased the funding stream and are delivering into over five schools in the area.

 

Rites of Passage

Our workshop program and debutante ball has been delivered for nearly ten years. Over this time we have engaged with over 200 young people providing health and emotional wellbeing information, ball room dancing lessons and cultural knowledge. 100% of those participants  who have connected with this program have graduated from high school with 97% of them currently in meaningful careers.
